Relationships matter deeply. When an important relationship becomes strained, distant,
confusing, or difficult to navigate, the effects can reach into many other areas of life.
Whether you are dating, engaged, or in a committed relationship, you may find yourselves
repeating the same disagreements, struggling to communicate, feeling misunderstood or
disconnected, navigating broken trust, or simply recognizing that the relationship is not as
healthy or fulfilling as you would like it to be.
Relationship counseling provides a supportive setting to slow down and better understand
what is happening between you.
At ICC, counseling can help you explore patterns of communication and interaction, better
understand one another’s perspectives and needs, address areas of conflict or hurt, and
work toward healthier ways of relating.
The goal is not to determine who is right or wrong, but to create space for greater understanding, more meaningful dialogue, and thoughtful decisions about the relationship.
When desired, faith and spiritual values that are important to the relationship may also be
incorporated into the counseling process.
You don’t have to have everything figured out to begin. Sometimes the first step is simply having a conversation.
